Christmas Day Collections

We know that waste, recycling and FOGO builds over the Christmas holidays. The

only day that services are impacted, in some Council areas, is Christmas Day itself.

There are no collections by Veolia on this day so staff can spend this special time

with family and friends.

If you are due to have a waste, recycling and/or FOGO collection on Wednesday 25

December, then your service will change as follows:

In Devonport the collection will be Christmas Eve, so put your bins out on Monday 23 December night;
In Central Coast the collection will be Boxing Day, 26 December 2024 so put your bins out Christmas night; and
In Waratah-Wynyard Council your collection will be Saturday 28 December 2024 so put you bin out on Friday 27 December 2024.

In Burnie, please check the Council website and Facebook for information if you

have a Wednesday collection due as the waste collection is operated by Council.
